The Brock Family

Odyssey Jane Brock arrived three weeks early one November 25, 2022.

She arrived fast and healthy. And by fast, I mean really fast. We arrived at the birthing center around 7:30…Odyssey bailed out at 8:40 (I never used to understand how people could have babies in their car…now I understand).

Atticus adjusted quickly to having a sister. He wanted to get her a bunny, so we bought a bunny for him to give her. She doesn’t care yet, but that doesn’t stop Atticus from insisting that she needs it.

Ember’s sister traveled across country to take pictures for us. She did an amazing job! I mean just look at these pictures!

What else?

We celebrated Christmas with my siblings which involved a lot of sugar, coffee, presents, and kids. Oh. And sickness, but what’s the holidays without someone getting sick (and by someone, I mean almost everyone).

Camp hit the ground running in January and we haven’t stopped running since. Thankfully, we had 5 new temporary staff join our team. A welcome addition that has already helped spread the load.

Dad and I had the unique privilege of preaching for Ironwood’s Tabletopia Retreat. We preached through the entirety of Philippians in four services and developed an illustration that carried through each service. It sounded like a simple idea on paper but turned out to be much harder than we anticipated. Thankfully, it all came together in the end. I don’t have space here explain the illustration, but if you are curious ask either Dad or I about it. We would love to share.
