Welcome!
Glad you made it, now put on a seat belt because we have a lot to cover.
Let’s start with the boring stuff.
Dentist appointments. Yep. Boring, but necessary. Atticus and Odyssey had their first appointments. They did great! Well, Atticus did great. Odyssey did not appreciate strangers brushing her teeth, but can we really blame her. I don’t find strangers brushing my teeth particularly appealing either.
BROKEN WIRES! Yep. Fixed some wires. It was boring, but here’s a picture anyway.

Next. Budgets. Ember spent many hours collecting budget proposals from Ironwood team leaders and directors. Now, before I get in trouble for calling this boring, I will say that she has made a few changes to the process that are excellent. Also, she wrote a budget poem…if you want to know more about that you’ll just have to ask her.
Onward.
I edited a video for our Tweakage YouTube channel which is for camps. It’s boring, but I’ll link it here anyway. Feel free to skip.
I hosted three Women’s Retreats and one Men’s Retreat. Emily Lawson (check out the Lawson’s blog here) is in charge of our Women’s Ministries and is one of our only hosts for Women’s Retreats. So, I have become the alternate host for Women’s Retreats to help split the load. Why me? Great question. I have a running theory that it’s because I grew up with three older sisters. That…or because of the similarities between Junior Camp and Women’s Retre… *cough, cough* It’s probably just because I have sisters.
Moving on, (with haste).
I started teaching a Bibliology class for Defined. I think it’s going well. No one has quit…yet. If you know anyone from Defined, ask them how it’s going. If they laugh and proceed to share a quote from class then ignore that, but if they share something that they’ve learned about Inspiration, Inerrancy, Infallibility, Hermeneutics, or Illumination then don’t ignore that because that’s a miracle worth praising God for.
Next.
This one’s big. This one took hours. I hope you have your seat belt on, because the Communications Team updated and overhauled the Ironwood website.

You may not be able to tell from these pictures, but there were a lot of changes we made from menu organization, fancy drop downs mega menus, wording, to overall look and feel. It was quite the process and we still have more to do.
Downward (assuming your scrolling) to the next thing.
Finished a skits video. It’s less boring than the Tweakage video, in my opinion.
Completed multiple Reels for Instagram. I usually have more fun making these than is probably healthy.
Almost done.
I had the privilege of preaching for IBCS’ Youth Conference. I had a blast sharing from Philippians 1 on the satisfaction of spreading the Gospel, from Philippians 2 on the satisfaction of selflessly sacrificing, and from Romans 12 on the reasonableness of living to give. Probably my favorite part was running the Worldbuilder Parable that teaches the futility of the temporal and the significance of living for the eternal.

Almost last.
I preached two messages from Lamentations for our church. Let me tell you what! I had no idea how fantastic Lamentations is until this year. God has a lot to say about human suffering. So often, we allow secular Psychology to have the loudest voice on human suffering, when God has already provided solutions and hope for our suffering.
Last.
We got to spend lots of time with family over the past few weeks. I could tell you about it, but I think you’d prefer just looking at some pictures…so here’s some pictures.

That’s all! Thanks for reading.
