Last time we posted an update Atticus wrote it…kinda. After getting a significant amount of positive feedback, I’m starting to think I should have him write them every time. However, this update it fairly significant and I’m afraid he might cause more confusion then good. So, your stuck with me. Hope that’s ok with you. If not, guess you should leave now since the rest of this update is authored by a bonafide adult.
Now, onto the big news.
God led. Our church voted. I have been ordained and installed as a pastor at Faith Baptist Church of Cherokee Road. A huge step for our church and my family. I am thrilled to work alongside Pastor David as we serve our church family here in the beautiful Mojave Desert. It’s been a long process, but good for both the church and me.
Now, to answer a few questions.
Yes. I will still be serving at Ironwood full time and plan to do so as long as Ironwood allows.
No. My week to week responsibilities don’t change much at church. I will continue to work with the Youth Group and will begin organizing the Children’s Ministry. I will be meeting regularly with Pastor David as I start to help with some of the decisions and direction of the church.
Yes. Both Pastor David, our church, and I know that my camp responsibilities keep me very busy. Our expectations for my capacity to serve are set to “flexible.”
Yes. You can call me Pastor Bodie or just Bodie. Just don’t call me “Pony.” (Believe it or not some do call me “Pony.” Don’t ask why.)
No. I can’t read your mind so I don’t know what other questions you may have.
OK. Now, on to the big video.
Of all the videos I’ve ever made. This is the one I am most excited to share. This is the one I hope you take the time to watch. And it’s not just because I worked on it or because it’s about my grandparents. It truly is an amazing story about God and what he can do with willing workers.
I think you will find that it’s worth your time. Who knows. You might even walk away with a new perspective.
Lastly.
Could you pray for Odyssey? She keeps getting sick. As I write this she has a fever which hasn’t broke all day. She just recovered from a two week bout of coughing and two days after that sickness she woke up with a fever.
We know kids get sick all the time. But Odyssey seems to be getting sick more often than normal. We would greatly appreciate your prayers both for her to get over this current sickness and that we can figure out why she keeps getting sick.
That’s all.
Thanks for reading or skimming or scanning or perusing…or absorbing?
